The new Gate Keeper fence mailbox is intended for installation in or behind a fence or wall. Using the special angle brackets, the mailbox can be clamped into the cutout of a double web fence or screwed to a picket fence.

The front of the mailbox has a weatherproof and secure flap that allows for letter mail and magazines to be delivered. The retrieval of mail is done via the backside of the mailbox allowing for quick access and retrieval eliminating the need to step outside your yard.

No Security Feature

This mailbox looks very sleek, and it will work great if you are using it in a 100% secure neighborhood, but the lock feature isn't very effective when anyone can stick their hand all the way into the mailbox, from the front, and pull out your mail. I looked into adding accessories or attachments that could secure it from the inside, unfortunately none exist. We had very high hopes since this is the only one out there specifically made for installation on metal gates - I just wish they had thought about this security concern. Maybe they will come up with something in the future.
